A field day for artists

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — These papier maché shoes by Dale Emmett, made out of issues of The River Reporter, are among the special art projects created for “Artists Have a Field Day,” an event sponsored by the Catskill Art Society. The event, which will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Honey Hill Pottery on August 5, coincides with the Jeffersonville Jamboree.

There will also be giant flower sculptures by Daina Shobrys, stilt walkers from the NACL at 2:00 p.m., a kids’ table for arts and crafts and dance by the Dunbar Dance. There will also be fundraising for a local boy in need. A pot made by Ayla Maloney of Honey Hill filled with fresh fruit cobbler may be purchased for a donation of $10.
