Antique Show & Sale
HAWLEY, PA The 37th annual Antique Show & Sale, sponsored by the Wayne, Pike (PA) and Sullivan (NY) County Antiques Dealers Association, will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on August 5 and 6 at the Wallenpaupack Area High School located on Route 6.
Nearly 60 quality dealers, hailing from throughout the northeastern and mid-Atlantic states, will once again be on hand with an extensive and varied array of merchandise, much of it set aside especially for this event.
Part of this shows success over the years, according to the ADAs board of directors, which handles all the exhibit logistics, is the fact that we take great care each year to insure a good balance in the categories of interest offered. In addition to timeless items of function such as period furniture, lighting, and selected accessories, the wares such as those brought along by our dealers are always in great demand.
The popular glass repair service with well-known artisan Paul Nulton will also be available at this years show on both Saturday and Sunday. In addition, the 2006 show will include a display of the work of Louis Hensel, a prolific rural photographer who recorded many views of Americana in the Hawley-Honesdale, Rowland, and other areas in the region.
Some of the returning exhibitors for 2006 include Circa Antiques (lamps & lighting), Barbara Corrigans Books & Antiques (antiquarian books, paper items), Miss Ellys Antiques & Such (furniture, primitives, vintage textiles and linens), and J Robert Kelz (primitives, selected furniture). Other dealer specialties include art glass, fine porcelains, toys and dolls, other glass specialties including depression era and elegant depression and fine art and paintings.
Admission costs $4.50 per person with proceeds to benefit historical, educational and antiquarian organizations and projects in the tri-county area.
