‘Songs from the Heart’

LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — Singer/songwriter Ken DeAngelis and soprano Julie Ziavras will present “Songs from the Heart,” a concert of original acoustic and folk music accompanied by The Eclectic Folk Project, at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22 at the Seelig Theatre of Sullivan County Community College.

DeAngelis and Ziavras are a Middletown-based husband and wife team that presents original, acoustic folk music, accompanying themselves on guitars and other instruments. Their music is distinguished by thought-provoking lyrics, rich harmonies and pure vocals. “Songs from the Heart” will concentrate on music that describes personal experiences or critical events in people’s lives that will end in tragedy or growth.

The Eclectic Folk Project, an ensemble of virtuoso folk and classical musicians, will provide acoustic instrumentation and accompaniment.

Tickets cost $20, $18 for seniors and students and $15 for staff and group rates.
