Wherefore art thou Romeo?

Shakespearean tragedy to be staged by youths in LaPolt Park

By RICHARD A. ROSS

LIBERTY, NY — Last summer, Oliver King’s production of “A Midsummer’s Night Dream” in LaPolt Park was a knockout. King and a new troupe of youthful thespians will return to the outdoor stage in LaPolt Park to stage Romeo and Juliet on August 4, 5, and 11 at 6:30 p.m., and on August 12 at 2:30 p.m. Dr. Emeric Arus, a former Olympian who took sixth place in the 1960 Rome Olympics, has been schooling the young actors in the art of swordplay. See next week’s The River Reporter for a full preview.
