Paul Vazquez’s book, “From Irony to Laughter,” is a mixture of poetry and art that forms a third entity all its own. A recent reviewer of the book wrote, “Whether this collection is ‘visual poetry’ or ‘literate painting’ or some new genre entirely, the symbiosis of images and insight will satisfy both sides of the brain... This volume is a revelation of life discovered through art and poetry.”

Native son’s gallery adds color to the landscape

BARRYVILLE, NY—Barryville native son Todd C. Anderson recently fulfilled a dream by opening a gallery in the town where he grew up.

The Todd C. Anderson Gallery, located at the intersection of Route 55 and Scenic Byway 97, shows Anderson’s own works exclusively. Anderson is a Romantic Surrealist, some of whose works incorporate local scenes while others are contemporary versions of classic trompe l’oiel techniques. He is also a muralist and can be commissioned for portraits.
