Fremont Center benefit tourney update

Opening games set for Friday night, July 14

FREMONT CENTER, NY Details have been finalized for the 13-team double elimination softball tournament that will begin at 6:30 p.m. on July 14. The tournament is a benefit for Lenny Miret and family. Miret, a youth soccer coach, loving husband and father, is battling cancer (see riverreportersports.com on the soccer page or the June 22 issue of The River Reporter).

Opening night games will feature R+H Gorr versus Matthews on Main and American Electric versus Sidetracks.

On Saturday morning, July 15, Lake Huntington Garage will face off against Stone Arch Inn and Darder’s Stone Works will play Ideal Snacks.

A pig roast will take place on Saturday. The final game is slated for 3:00 p.m. on July 16 but a 5:00 p.m. game could be played if necessary.
