Comedy in Fallsburg

SOUTH FALLSBURG, NY - Nick is 29, single, and spends every Sunday having dinner with both sets of Italian grandparents in Hoboken, NJ. When his dream job threatens to take him to Seattle, his grandparents will stop at nothing to keep him close to the famiglia. This is the premise of Joe DiPietro’s hilarious comedy, “Over the River and Through the Woods,” being staged by the Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop.

A funny show that is well received by audiences all over the country, “Over the River and Through the Woods” is directed by Sally Gladden of Woodridge and features Jim Sullivan of Callicoon, Leonard DeDuke of Equinunk, PA, Kathy Kreiter of Monticello, Jack Leshner of Monticello, Kayla Luczyski of Woodridge and Sophia Mahmud of Port Jervis.

The comedy will be performed Friday, July 7 at 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 9 at 2:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday, July 14 and 15 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 16 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, and $12 for senior citizens and students, 16 and under. Group rates are available. Tickets will be available at the box office one half hour prior to each performance and no advance reservations are necessary.

The Rivoli Theatre, located on Route 42 in South Fallsburg, is air conditioned, handicapped accessible and parking is available in an adjacent lighted lot.
