Liberty Free Theatre to hold auditions

LIBERTY, NY - The Liberty Free Theatre will hold open auditions on Thursday, July 6, starting at 7:30 p.m. Men and women, ages 18 and up, are sought for a number of plays. The theatre has an inclusive casting policy and is looking for actors from all segments of the community.

Among the plays being considered are “Picnic on the Battlefield” by Arrabal, “Throwing Your Voice” by Craig Lucas, “Audience” by Vaclav Havel, “The Death of Bessie Smith” by Edward Albee and “Kinfolks and Mountain Music” by Sandler and Norman.

Artistic director Paul Austin will hold the auditions. Anyone unavailable to audition on July 6 can make an appointment.

The theatre is also seeking volunteers for fundraising, office, house, stage management and back-stage work.

The Liberty Free Theatre, located at 109 South Main Street, is a not-for-profit institution that offers its plays to the public free of charge.
