Ivan the Iron-Clad Stomach featured In ‘Grunn’s Shorts’

LIBERTY, NY — The Liberty Free Theatre will present “Grunn’s Shorts,” an evening of puppetry for adults and children on Friday, July 7, Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9 at 7:30 p.m. Grunn ‘s Shorts features Urbano ’s Circus and Sideshow, a puppet circus constructed out of trash and featuring the talents of Ivan the Iron-Clad Stomach, Clyde the Fearless Clown, and Boris, the Elastic-Armed Acrobat, all led by ringmaster Urbano the Mute. The show also features Cliff the Domestic. Ordinary, everyday behavior may be second nature for most of us, but for Cliff, the human-sized puppet, the simplest domestic chore can present a great challenge. This performance will be videotaped.

In keeping with the theatre’s name, admission is free; however, seating is limited and reservations are suggested. The theatre also continues its tradition of inviting the audience to gather after the performance for food, drink and music.

The theatre is located at 109 South Main Street in Liberty. It is air-conditioned. Parking is available.
