In modern-day athletics, performance enhancement training has become a necessity to compete at the elite level in sports. The major goal of the SCCC summer strength and conditioning clinic is to provide competitive athletes the knowledge necessary to maximize their concepts of proper weight training, speed training, nutrition, flexibility, agility and basics of plyometric.
All athletes will be in a disciplined environment that will offer three hours of structured training under the direction of Zachariah Mathew. The clinic will focus on technique, training in agility, speed, plyometrics, conditioning, core strength, overall body strength, flexibility and speed. Athletes will also be coached on dietary habits, motivation and sports discipline.
By the end of the clinic, participants will create and develop a complete game-specific workload schedule for the season and for the off- season.
The cost of the clinic is $60 dollars. Enrollment closes on July 3. The clinic is designed to insure a good participant-to-coach ratio; thus, the clinic has limited enrollment and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
