Dancing and twirling in the park

HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne County Creative Arts Council (WCCAC) will present performances by Caroline Lehman School of Dance and The Silhouettes Twirling Corps at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 26 at the south end of Central Park.

The Caroline Lehmann School of Dance is a group of young dancers whose performance will be centered on the theme “Broadway Bound.” Jazz, ballet and hip-hop styles will be featured in numbers such as “One” from “A Chorus Line’s” to “All That Jazz” from “Chicago.”

The Silhouettes Twirling Corps, a group that was chosen by audition to perform at the Universal Studios in Orlando, FL in June of 2004 and has won many Pennsylvania State Championship Titles, will perform under the direction of Teresa Loftus Bayly. They are known for their duet-twirl and pompom team performances—not to mention their fire batons.

Audience members are invited to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the performances. In case of rain, the location will change to the Lakeside Elementary School Cafeteria. A free-will collection will be taken during the performance to help support the WCCAC’s continuing park festivals.
