Re-pledging their troths on the D&H

NEVERSINK, NY — Canal boat Neversink Kate will be the site of a ceremony in which couples will renew their wedding vows at 4:30 on Saturday, June 24. Deerpark Town Supervisor Mark House will officiate at the ceremonies.

The canal boat, which will be specially decorated for the occasion, is part of the Neversink Valley Area Museum. The ceremony will be performed on the boat as it floats on the D&H Canal, while the invited guests look on. Afterwards there will be champagne (with and without alcohol) for a toast and light snacks. Photographs will be available, or guests are welcome to bring their own cameras.

Neversink Kate is also available for private weddings or vow renewals, and the D&H Canal Park Visitor’s Center can be rented for receptions.

Space for the vow renewal ceremony is limited and reservations are required. For more information call 845/754-8870.
