Catskill Art Society lights a FUSE

REGION — The Catskill Art Society has started a new quarterly journal, “FUSE.” The publication mixes high-quality reproductions of work by local artists and artisans, profiles of the people who produce it, and writing of all kinds by area authors.

“FUSE” is part of the Catskill Art Society’s mission to make art accessible and engaging to the community. The first two issues included a story about Lookout Sculpture Park’s 12-year saga in building and firing a wood-fueled Anagama kiln, poems inspired by ancient cylinder seals, advice about where you can see art without leaving your car and an elaborate hoax. The third issue will be in local stores soon and a subscription is free with a $35 CAS membership.

Copies of “FUSE” are available at Hamish and Henry in Livingston Manor, La Shed du Fred in Callicoon, Domesticities in Youngsville, The Secret Garden in Jeffersonville and HoneyHill Pottery in Callicoon.
