He was the founder and first president of the Pennsylvania Travel Council (PTC). As such, he developed the state motto, Youve got a friend in Pennsylvania. His leadership and influence have in no small way been responsible for the growth and effectiveness of this organization.
Extremely active in community affairs, he was a member of the board of Wayne County Memorial Hospital, the PA Tourism and Lodging Association and the Governors Small Business Advisory Council. He also served on the advisory board of the AM Skier Insurance Agency.
When he was not working, Harry was spending time with his family. Whether serving a bountiful meal, leading a bike ride on the beach in Hilton Head, SC, or riding his tractor across his great property in Hawley, his favorite moments were at home with his loved ones.
