New Orleans comes to the Manor

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Dry Goods Arts Association will present Tin Men and the Rob Wagner 4-Top, fresh from recent performances at the JazzFests in New Orleans, at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, upstairs at Resort Restaurant, 87 DeBruce Road. Both bands also performed at Dry Goods Arts Association last November to sell-out crowds.

The New Paltz Times describes Tin Men’s sound as a “woozy, bluesy and charming carnival romp.” Rolling Stone magazine likened guitarist Alex McMurray to “Tom Waits if he was from New Orleans.”

Before Hurricane Katrina, The Rob Wagner Trio had a four-year gig on Frenchman Street, playing at DBA on Mondays and Dragon’s Den on Sundays. “The Rob Wagner Trio mixes the abstractness of Sam Rivers with the lyricism and strength of Sonny Rollins,” wrote The Best of New Orleans.com.

Tickets are $15 and are available at Resort, Peez Leweez and Hamish and

Henry Booksellers in Livingston Manor.
