Eldreds Little Shop of Horrors set to delight and entrance
The Little Shop of Horrors, the delightful musical written by Howard Ashma with music by Alan Menken, is a tale of the hungry plant Audrey II and her consuming effect on flower shop employees Seymour, Audrey and owner Mr. Mushnick. The show will take to the stage at Eldred High School on March 31 through April 2. It will be staged at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The production stars Coyote Anderson as Seymour, Sarah Doran as Audrey, Matthew Terpening as Mushnick, Tara Contrera as Crystal and Courtney Girdwood as Ronnette.
Other principals include Jamie Schombs as Chiffon, Tyler Laput as the dentist and Josh Poston as the voice of Audrey II. Poston also serves as the shows student director. The production is directed by Marissa Scott, the costumes are by Dayelle Watts, props by Alli Amore and lighting/sound by Stephanie Roeder. The voracious plant Audrey II was obtained from James Fazzino of the Delaware Valley School District.
Ticket prices at the door are $6 for students and seniors, $8 for adults, and $3 for senior citizens Sunday Special.
