GILBERT E. HARTY
GREELEY, PA Gilbert E. Harty, a 20-year resident of Greeley and a former resident of Franklin, NJ, died March 18, 2006 at Milford Senior Care Center in Milford. He was 69.
The son of the late Benjamin and Margaret Crosson Harty, he was born in Ringwood, NJ.
Harty worked as a heavy equipment operator in a quarry. He was an Army veteran.
He is survived by a son, Gilbert Harty of Waco, TX; a step daughter, Sharyl Paul of Hawley; two step sons, Richard Cron of Montague, NJ and Robert Cron of Dingmans Ferry; his fiancé, Julia Coligan of Greeley; his sisters, Marguerite Courter of Ringwood, NJ, Joan Delvalle of Haskell, NJ, Joice Costic of Pompton Plains, NJ, and Gertrude Sisco of Bloomingdale, NJ; two brothers, Benjamin Harty of Lake Ariel and Gary Harty of West Milford, NJ; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Teeters East Chapel on March 22 with the Reverend Martin L. Cox, Jr., pastor, officiating.

WILLIAM LORD
HONESDALE, PA William Lord, a resident of Honesdale, died Friday, March 10, 2006 at Marian Community Hospital in Carbondale. He was 68.
The son of the late Myron H. and Purmellia Conklin Lord, he was born August 3, 1937 in Hancock, NY.
Lord worked as a taxi driver for Maple City Transit before retiring.
He is survived by three daughters, Laurie Mulligan and her husband John of Honesdale, Tamsen Holbert and her husband Craig of Beach Lake, and Brenda Lee and her husband Cliff of Pleasant Mount; a brother, Russell Lord of Honesdale; five sisters, Estella Jennings and Evelyn Hanson, both of Honesdale, Ella Mills of Boyds Mills and Ruth Blaine and Gladys Enslin, both of Waymart; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sandra Bishop Lord who died December 31, 2003; three brothers, Ernest, Elvin and Robert; and two sisters, Eleanor and Ethel.
According to his request, cremation will be held at Maple Hill Crematory in Archbald. A private memorial service will be held at the familys convenience.
CHARLES VANAMBURGH
NARROWSBURG, NY Charles VanAmburgh, a resident of Narrowsburg and a longtime area resident, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 71.
The son of the late John and Mollie Latourette VanAmburgh, he was born December 22, 1934 in Newburgh.
VanAmbugh worked as a truck driver for Resnicks in Mountaindale.
He is survived by five daughters, Debra Gonzalez of Highland Falls, Andrea James and Kristina Archuletta, both of California, Nichole VanAmburgh of Waymart, PA, and Courtney VanAmburgh of Waymart, PA; a sister, Emma Smith of OK; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his longtime companion, Deborah Dunning.
He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Cooper.
Services were on Friday, March 17 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Narrowsburg with Reverend Phyllis Hayes officiating.
Interment will be made in Glen Cove Cemetery in Narrowsburg.
