Highly finished works of nature

Beach Lake artist’s sculptures to be shown in Keystone College exhibit

TUNKHANNOCK, PA — Lizza Studios will host an exhibit of artwork by Keystone College’s fine art students from March 26 through April 16. The exhibit will include the work of seven current seniors enrolled in the BA and BS degree programs in visual arts and art education, including sculptor George Boudman, resident of Beach Lake. An opening reception will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26.

“The sculptures being displayed are original pieces of nature that I carefully extracted from their resting places,” Boudman said. “I intuitively altered their natural forms by carving, metal coating and other methods. Some pieces were so decayed that they needed to be cast into metal before they crumbled and disappeared. After being replicated in metal, they were further manipulated by chasing, utilizing special patina techniques, and finishing.”

Other artists featured in this exhibit are ceramicist Mark Chuck; bronze sculptor Clifford Smith; painters Jime Grabowski, James Barney and Leigh Ann Sickler; and graphic designer Nicole Krewson.
