Cabaret at Vino

MONTICELLO, NY—Jazz and gospel vocalist Donna Singer will present her new cabaret show “Love... I Like It!” at 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 at Vino, the wine bar and restaurant at 456 Broadway. Donna’s husband, pianist and composer Roy Singer, will appear with her.

Noted for her vocal style and interplay with audiences, Donna performs in New York City cabarets and in the Catskills. She is the vocalist with Swing Shift Orchestra, an 18-piece big band, and is the former host of “Down by the River” on WJFF 90.5 FM in Jeffersonville. Many remember her show-stopping performance at Gospel Jubilee `99 in Monticello.

Roy is the composer of the hit Off Broadway musical “Mamaleh!” Conservatory trained, he was a rock pianist in the ‘70s, recording on Casablanca Records. His passion for composing includes chamber music as well as musical theater. He is the recipient of multiple Meet the Composer grants.

Donna is a graduate of the New York Academy of Theatrical Arts and attended Juilliard. She teaches voice and piano at Dr. Donna’s School of Song.

The 6:00 p.m. show costs $25 for adults, $20 for children under 12, and includes appetizer and dinner buffet with dessert. A more intimate show at 9:00 p.m. costs $20.
