Month of Irish literature concludes with McCourt

NARROWSBURG, NY — Author Malachy McCourt will entertain audiences at the final event of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance’s “Writers Among Us” series at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26 at the Gloria Krause Recital Hall at the Delaware Arts Center, 37 Main Street. This year’s series, titled “The Everlasting Voices,” has showcased an Irish literature theme.

McCourt, born in Ireland, has been in the Northeast region for many years, delighting audiences with his special brand of Irish authenticity, wisdom and humor. The internationally known McCourt has written many books, including “A Monk Swimming,” “Voices of Ireland” and “Bush Lies in State.”

Following McCourt’s presentation, audience members will be invited to read a favorite short piece of Irish poetry or prose. A reception with Irish food and drink will follow the readings.Admission costs $3.
