Sundays at Big Twig kick off 2006 season
ROSCOE, NY The first of this years Sundays at Big Twig concerts will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26. Flutist and founder Judith Pearce and her colleagues, violinist Sunghae Anna Lim, cellist Alberto Parrini and pianist Marija Stroke will perform Haydn, Carter, Beethoven and Ravel. The venue for the concerts is a scenic hilltop near Tennanah Lake in Roscoe, overlooking the Pocono Mountains and the Delaware River Valley.
The New Yorker dubbed flutist Pearce ...a rare and beautiful performer. She and violinist Lim, who, The Boston Herald, said has A tone of silvery purity teach at Princeton University, where they are also members of the Richardson Chamber Players. Mr. Parrini tours regularly as a member of the American Chamber Players and has earned the praise of The Los Angeles Times for his refined playing. And Marija Stroke, a pianist who was praised by The Strad for her magnificent perception. There will be a reception at Big Twig Studio and Gallery where the audience can meet the artists following the program and view an exhibit of Carolyn Dukes pottery and other art.
