ROBERT A. DAVIS
NORTH BRANCH, NY Robert A. Davis, a resident of North Branch and a longtime area resident, died Monday, February 27, 2006 in Johnson City, NY. He was 73.
The son of the late Clarence and Thelma Minckler Davis, he was born July 17, 1932 in Pine Flats, PA.
Davis was the former owner of Davis Callicoon Inn and a member of Allen Milk Post 7276, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Long Eddy, and a past member of Sunrise Farm Hunting Club. He was a Korean War veteran.
Davis is survived by his aunt, Lura Meckle of Damascus, PA; cousins Donald and Kathleen Meckle of Callicoon, Robert and Pat Peters of Hortonville, Loren Meckle of Philadelphia, PA; and a longtime family friend, Alice Ferber of Callicoon.
Services were held on Thursday, March 2 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Callicoon, at 1:00 p.m.
Interment is at Hillcrest Cemetery in Galilee, PA.

RONALD S. DEMARCO
GREELY, PA Ronald S. DeMarco, a resident of Greeley, died Thursday, February 23, 2006 in Blooming Grove Township. He was 23.
The son of Richard and Selena Leobruni DeMarco, he was born in Westminister, CA on August 24, 1982.
DeMarco worked as a heavy equipment operator for Paer Ahnerp Enterprise in Marshalls Creek and for C&C Equipment Rentals in Hawley. He was a member of St. Anns Church in Shohola.
A family statement said: He loved anything to do with water, snowboarding and friends. He was a very simple man.
He is survived by his parents in Greeley; two brothers, Richie and Rocco of Greeley; and two sisters, Ryann and Savanna of Greeley.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Anns Church in Shohola on Wednesday, March 1 with the Reverend Paul Mullen officiating.
Cremation will be held at H.G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg at the convenience of the family.
FRANCES A. HERRON
KINGSTON, NY Frances A. Herron, a resident of Kingston, died February 23, 2006 at Golden Hill Health Care Center in Kingston. She was 80.
The daughter of Ludovico Indelicato and Maria Crimi, she was born July 22, 1925 in Highland.
Herron was a talented seamstress for many years and a former Highland resident. She was a resident of Golden Hill Health Care Center in Kingston since 1986.
She is survived by two daughters, Catherine Herron Mathews of Westport, CT and MaryAnn Herron Hinchey of Gambrills, MD; one son, John L. Herron III of Concord, CA; two sisters, Catherine Hurt of Highland and Antoinette Roccio of Beacon; three brothers, Louis Indelicato of New Paltz, Joseph Indelicato of Highland, and Salvatore Indelicato of Narrowsburg; as well as grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, February 27 at St. Augustine RC Church in Highland.
Interment is in Highland Cemetery.
MARGARET G. IRWIN
THOMPSONVILLE, NY Margaret G. Irwin, a resident of Thompsonville and a lifetime area resident, died suddenly Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. She was 68.
The daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Jones, she was born on May 25, 1937 in Downsville, NY.
Irwin was a self-employed caregiver in Hurleyville, NY. She was the widow of Charles Irwin who died October 20, 2002.
She is survived by three sons, James Everette and his wife Cindy of Loch Sheldrake, Kenneth Hopkins and his wife Patsy of Thompsonville, and Benjamin Hopkins and his wife Tina of Beach Lake, PA; four daughters, Rose Goetz and her husband Bill and Margaret McArthur and her husband Arthur, all of Thompsonville, Angel Trigger and her husband Kenneth of Beach Lake, PA, and Betty Lee Milk and her husband Ed of Hancock,; three brothers, Frank Jones and his wife Carol of Mountaindale, Walter Jones and his wife Kinda of Loch Sheldrake and Lee Jones of Hurleyville; four sisters, Anna Belle of South Carolina, Eva Salazar of Florida, Mary Jane Zamora of Hasbrouck and Alfrie Ackerley of Monticello; 31 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 1 special grandson, Kenneth Hopkins Jr.
She was predeceased by a son, Ricky Hopkins; two sisters; two brothers; and a granddaughter.
Services will be held on March 1, 2006 at the Ramsays Funeral Home with the Reverend Roy Shaffer officiating.
Cremation was at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope.

DOROTHY DOLLY KLOTZ
SPARROWBUSH, NY Dorothy Dolly Klotz, a resident of Sparrowbush and a longtime area resident, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis. She was 95.
The daughter of the late James and Mary Johnson Thornton, she was born November 1, 1910 in Brooklyn.
Klotz was a retired court clerk for the City of New York. She was a member and choir member of Most Sacred Heart Church; a member of Catholic Daughters Court Madonna #114 in Port Jervis; Catholic Court Attache Guild in New York City; National AARP; and Sparrowbush and Milford Seniors.
She is survived by her son, Robert L. Klotz and his wife Peggy of Sparrowbush; 10 grandchildren, Linda Ann Collins, Laurence F. Collins and his wife Kathy, Joseph P. Klotz and his wife Dawn, Cathleen Erenzo and her husband Jim, Joanne Collins Rios, Christopher R. Klotz and his wife Carrie, Michael Collins and his wife Lori, Matthew L. Klotz and his wife Jennie, Pamela F. Henn and her husband Arthur, and Elizabeth M. Klotz; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Louis W. Klotz and a daughter, Carol Ann Collins.
Services were held Saturday, February 25 at the Knight-Archmoody Funeral Home, Inc. in Port Jervis. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Most Sacred Heart RC Church in Port Jervis.
Interment is in Pine Hill Cemetery in Sparrowbush.
WILLIAM SPITTEL
HONESDALE, PA William Spittel, a resident of Honesdale, died Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart. He was 70.
The son of the late Mary Susan Edan, he was born July 15, 1935 in Catonsville, MD.
Spittel was retired after 38 years of employment from the former Moore Business Forms. He was then employed at Wayne Memorial Hospital prior to his illness. Spittel was an avid die casts collector, mainly cars, trucks, and planes. He had a collection of over 5,000 pieces. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren knew him as Pop-pop.
A family statement said: Ray will always be remembered as a kind and gentle man.
He was the husband of the former Joyce M. Brundidge; the couple would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this August 24.
He is survived by three daughters and two sons, Connie Hansen and her husband Mike of Archbald, Mary Swendsen and her husband Fred of Waymart, Bethann Smith of Honesdale, Mike Spittel and his wife Beverly of Beach Lake, and Steve Spittel of Palmetto, FL; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Jackie Peterson and her husband Richard and Sandy Reynolds; his mother-in-law, Arline Brundidge; a sister-in-law, Jane and her husband Mark Young; an uncle, Harold Baker and his wife Evelyn; one aunt, Evelyn Insogna; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Douglas, who died June 17, 1979.
Interment is in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Elmira, NY.
