Brokeback Mountain at CineArt

CALLICOON, NY — Multiple Academy-Award nominee Brokeback Mountain is March’s CineArt feature at the Callicoon Theater.

The film, which has been nominated in the categories of best picture and best actor among others, tells the story of two young men—a ranch hand and a rodeo cowboy—who meet in the summer of 1963 and unexpectedly forge a lifelong connection, one whose complications, joys and tragedies provide a testament to the endurance and power of love. The film is directed by Ang Lee with a Larry McMurtry screenplay adapted from an Annie Proulx short story.

Screenings will be held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 1, 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, March 4 and 5, at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; and Monday and Tuesday, March 6 and 7 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $7.
