Wayne County is going to the birds

WAYNE COUNTY, PA — The Wayne County Arts Alliance has settled on a theme for its summer arts treat: “Home Tweet Home.” In previous summers, the alliance has decorated Wayne County streets with deer and Adirondack chairs. This summer’s decor will be birdhouses designed by Jeff George, and produced by The Human Resource Center.

The birdhouses are over two feet tall and will be displayed around the county standing on seven-foot posts. The grand appearance of the birdhouses will be on Memorial Day Weekend, which also coordinates with the Greater Honesdale Partnership’s Arts & Antiques Weekend. Wayne County businesses interested in sponsoring a birdhouse should call 570/253-0285 or email teachart@ptd.net
