Barryville whoops it up

BARRYVILLE, NY—The Barryville Chamber of Commerce had a spectacular turnout for the second annual Mid Winter Warm Up hosted by The Carriage House on February 23. Chamber president Mark Veeder said, “We are really overwhelmed and excited by the turnout... we sold out tonight and had to scramble to squeeze in some people that hadn’t pre-registered.” Attendees came from New York City, Hawley, Narrowsburg, Monticello, Port Jervis, Bethel and Milford, as well as Barryville.

Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther was the keynote speaker along with Jonathan Drapkin from Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. D & R Auto Repair was named Business of the Year and Carol Roig Volunteer of the Year.

“This is a night to remember,” said local resident Kit Murdock “What a time! The food—the entertainment—the silent auction—the crowd. Wow... this is top notch,” she said.

The fundraiser generated more than $6,500 for the Barryville Chamber of

Commerce. Funds will be used to enhance ongoing and future community projects.
