‘Real Women Have Curves’

MONTICELLO, NY — BOCES’ “Cabin Fever” film series continues with “Real Women Have Curves,” an independent feature film directed by Patricia Cardozo, at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28 at BOCES St. John Street Education Center Auditorium located off Broadway.

The film is the story of Ana (played by America Ferrara), a Mexican-American teenager struggling to reconcile the expectations of her family with her desire to attend college. She has received a scholarship to Columbia University in New York City. Ana lives with her close-knit family in East Los Angeles, but goes to Beverly Hills High School where she is encouraged by her teacher (played by George Lopez) to further her education, despite her family’s reluctance to “let go.”
