BARRYVILLE, NY — Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther will be the keynote speaker at the second annual Mid-winter Warm-up, which will take place at the Carriage House Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. on February 23.

Mark Veeder, president of the Barryville Chamber of Commerce said, “It’s an opportunity for fulltime residents and weekend residents and business people all to get together.” It gives people a chance to see what’s going on in the neighborhood and it helps build the community.

Michael Schroeder, a past president of the chamber said, “In the middle of winter people are looking for a little pick-me-up, so we do it as a local networking, fun-driven event.”

The event this year features a sit-down dinner with entertainment. There will also be a substantial silent auction with one of the items being a round-trip airline ticket within the United States. Finally, there will be a “wheel of fortune”, from which attendees can win cash prizes ranging from $10 to $50.

The cost for the evening is $19 in advance or $25 at the door.
