Wayne County Arts Alliance hires director

HONESDALE, PA — Liz Kedrick has been hired as director/coordinator for the Wayne County Arts Alliance (WCAA), the first paid position ever created in the three-year-old organization. Kedrick graduated from Honesdale High School in 1999. She joined the alliance board in October 2003. Kedrick also has experience as a court reporter and set up a business called Zippy Court Reporting in Wayne County in 2003.

The mission of the WCAA is to promote the arts in Wayne County through programs that provide opportunities for artists, craftspeople, writers, musicians and performers. The WCAA has 220 members. Its most visible activity is the Artists Open Studio Tour, when the public is invited to visit the studios of various artists. The organization hosts various events through the year such as food tastings, open microphone nights, gallery shows, readings and performances. The WCAA website is www.waynecountyartsalliance.org.
