‘Father of the Western Novel’ celebrated in Lackawaxen

LACKAWAXEN, PA — The Zane Grey Museum will offer free tours of the museum from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, in commemoration of Grey’s birthday, which falls on January 31.

Grey lived in Lackawaxen between 1904 and 1918 in the building that now houses his museum. Although he then moved to California, he retained such a fondness for this area that he requested that his remains be interred in Lackawaxen.
