A festival day in Narrowsburg
NARROWSBURG, NY The merchants of Narrowsburg have pooled their resources and their ideas to create a day of celebration on Saturday, December 3, to kick off the holiday season.
From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. visitors may view Art in Sixes, a group show of small works by over three dozen area artists, at the Delaware Arts Center Gallery on 37 Main Street. From 1:30 to 3:30 there will be a showing of Still Bali, a travelogue film of Bali produced by Alan Rubin and Candy Spilner, at the Krause Recital Hall of the arts center.
There will be Christmas music at St. Pauls Lutheran Church on Erie Avenue from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by a caroling procession down Main Street, where merchants will greet the revelers with refreshments and favors. At 5:00 p.m., the Main Street holiday decorations will be lit.
The festivities will conclude in the holiday spirit of giving with a concert, Bourbon Street Benefit, at 7:30 at Kizmet, 76 Main Street. Admission is by donation, and proceeds will benefit musicians in the southern states whose livelihoods have been suspended by hurricanes.
