Let us now speak of famous anglers

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum will hold a reception and induction ceremony for the newest members of its Hall of Fame on October 15 at 4:00 p.m., followed by a cocktail hour and dinner.

The living members being inducted are Hoagy B. Carmichael, Jr. and Mary Dette. Deceased members are Everett Garrison, Hiram Leonard, Carrie G. Stevens, and Jim Payne.

The Fly Fishing Hall of Fame was established to recognize those fly fishers who have, during their lives, made a major positive impact on fly fishing. The overall process for inclusion into the Fly Fishing Hall of Fame consider attributes such as a widespread recognition of continued efforts, a unique contribution to the betterment of fly fishing and a lasting effect on the fly fishing community.
