A history of outhouses

NARROWSBURG, NY — “The Vanishing American Outhouse” will be the featured presentation at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16 at Tusten Town Hall. Carol Dunn of Beach Lake has produced this special and humorous documentary, and will present it at the annual local history event sponsored by Tusten Historical Society. This will be followed by a short business meeting and refreshments.

After the cookies and punch Ralph Huebner, retired from New York State Police, will give a history of the New York troopers in our area, followed by John Dowd with history of the Civilian Conservation Corps’ presence in the vicinity.

Participants are invited to bring their own pictures and stories to share.
