Fiddlin’ around

EQUINUNK, PA—Fiddlin’ Around will play at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22 at Camp Indian Head, hosted by the Union UMC.

Steve Jacobi, Craig Gehrig and Dale Teeple started “Fiddlin’ Around” in 1992. They are members of The Old Time Fiddlers and were looking for another outlet for their music. Since then they have enjoyed performing traditional tunes in concerts throughout the tri-state area. Jacobi has been playing fiddle for 27 years and has won numerous competitions in the Northeast, including the 2004 and 2005 championship at Pembroke, Ontario, Canada in his division. Craig is well known for his guitar work as an accompanist and also flat-picking fiddle tunes. Teeple is a master at the piano with his knowledge of music theory and chord progressions. Jay Brooks joined the group in 2002 as the bass player. He is an extremely gifted musician and artist that has the drive in his playing you need for these tunes. The group plays a variety of bluegrass, old-time, western swing, Canadian and Celtic music with requests from the audience being a big part of their performance.

Admission for adults is $6 and free for children under 12. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
