JEFFREY P. BEISCHER
STERLING, PA Jeffrey P. Beischer, a resident of Sterling, died September 27, 2005 at home.
The son of James P. and Virginia Rotell Beischer, Sr., of Sterling, he was born in Carbondale.
Beischer was employed as an over-the-road truck driver and formerly as a plumber. He was a graduate of Western Wayne High School and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Newfoundland.
He is survived by a son, Antony of Lackawaxen; his brothers James Jr. of Easley, SC and Christopher of Cliffside Park, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by a sister, Anita Marie Beischer.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 1 at James Wilson Funeral Home in Lake Ariel with Mass to be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Newfoundland.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

hELEN F. (COYNE) BROOKS
HAWLEY, PA Helen F. (Coyne) Brooks, a resident of Milestone Estate in Hawley, died Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at home. She was 91.
The daughter of the late John and Catherine (Geraghty) Coyne, she was born January 9, 1914 in Manhattan, NY.
Brooks was employed as a teachers aid in Brooklyn, NY.
She was survived by five daughters, Catherine Boyd of Monroe, NY, Anne Watkins of Brooklyn, NY, Nora Gray of Dingmans Ferry, Helen Slezak of Highland Mills, NY and Monica Brooks of Monroe; two sons, John of Hawley and Gregory of Tampa, FL; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, September 30 at Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Monroe, NY.
Interment is in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.

DOROTHY ELIZABETH SENSEN
BEACH LAKE, PA Dorothy Elizabeth Sensen, a resident of Wayne Delaware Manor in Beach Lake, died September 29, 2005 following a declining of health. She was 79.
The daughter of the late Michael P. Sensen and Elizabeth Benziger, she was born in Hawley.
Sensen was a retired bookkeeper for Katz Underwear Mill in Honesdale and a former office manager for Acme Markets in Hawley. She was a member of the BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Womens Club in Hawley and Honesdale.
She is survived by her sister, Florence Simmons in Hawley; several cousins including Rita Levy of Honesdale; and a nephew, James Michael Stroening of Blair, WI.
Services were held on Monday, October 3 at the BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Richard W. Beck, pastor, officiating.
Interment is at the BVM Queen of Peace Cemetery in Hawley, PA.

JOSEPH C. SNOW
NARROWSBURG, NY Joseph C. Snow, a resident of Narrowsburg and a longtime area resident, died Monday, October 3, 2005 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. He was 76.
The son of the late Clarence and Marian D Avignon Snow, he was born October 30, 1928 in Plattsburgh, NY.
Snow worked as the NY Superintendent of Mid Orange Correctional Facility for 36 years until his retirement in 1991. During his career he received many awards, including the prestigious State Chairmans Highest Award given at the United States Military Academy at West Point for Significant Contributions to the Support of the Military Reserve Forces. He was noted for implementing many innovative programs at the prison and received many commendations for his dedication to community service.
He was a veteran of the United States Army where he received a Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Star. He was a member of the Tusten-Highland Post # 6427 Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post # 0315.
A family statement said: Joseph was a devoted husband to his wife Dolores of 53 years and loving father who cherished his family. He was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather.
Snow is survived by his wife, Dolores Souza Snow at home; two sons, Michael and his fiancée Patricia Spencer of Pine Bush and Daniel and his wife Stacie of Beach Lake; two daughters, Cynthia Kryger and her husband Michael of Montgomery and Joanne and her husband Gerard Manzi of Narrowsburg; one sister, Jimmie Bernard of CA; eight grandchildren, Michael and Joseph Snow, Sarah Snow and Ryan OKeefe, Katy Duffany and Chris Terwilliger, Jenna and John Snow-Manzi; one great grandson, Justin Duffany; and several nieces and nephews.
A private viewing for the family was held at the Rasmussen Funeral Home in Narrowsburg on Wednesday, October 5.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Name RC Church in Ausable Forks, NY at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 7. Father Phillip Allen will officiate. Interment will follow immediately at the Fairview Cemetery in Ausable Forks.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars or St. Judes Children.
