Police investigate possible hit-and-run on Route 52

COCHECTON CENTER, NYPolice are investigating a 67-year-old mans critical injuries as the effects of a possible hit-and-run incident on Route 52.
Asku Takoris son, Tino, is certain that someone struck his father deliberately with a car, leaving him in critical condition with a fractured skull, bleeding brain and broken ribs and nose.
Someone left him for dead, Tino said. Hes offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the person(s) responsible.
We dont know if its a hit-and-run yet, said Detective Jason Gore of the Sullivan County Sheriffs Department. But were treating it as such.

Attorney takes aim at Sullivan

MONTICELLO, NYInstead of angling to prove Phil Nicolettis innocence, attorney Jonathan Lovett turned the tables on Sullivan County as he called several high-ranking officials to the stand on September 28.
Lovett accused county legislators of consenting to a double standard when they charged Nicoletti with misconduct earlier this year. According to Lovett, legislators were aware of other county employees misdeeds, but did nothing about them.
