ROSALIA (GRAFF) BUCKO

HAWLEY, PA – Rosalia (Graff) Bucko, a resident of Hawley since 2000 and a former resident of Flushing, NY, died on September 23, 2005 at her home. She was 86.

The daughter of the late Martin and Magdalena (Keller ) Graff, she was born in Yugoslavia.

She worked as an administrative assistant for Queen of Peace Grammar School until her retirement in 2000.

She was a member of the Queen of Peace RC Church in Flushing, NY and a graduate of Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood, NY.

She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, John Bucko.

She is survived by two daughters, Clare Agnesini of Hawley and Joan Hansen of Old Bethpage, LI, NY; two sons, Robert of Hawley and Donald of Medford, LI, NY; her grandchildren, Jen, John, Tom, Travis, Janine, Richard, Robert, Chris, Mike, Jenney and Annmarie; and her great granddaughter, Olivia.

Services were held on Monday, September 26 at the Queen of Peace RC Church in Flushing, NY.


ROGER ALLEN DOOLITTLE

BLOOMINGBURG, NY – Roger Allen Doolittle, a resident of Bloomingburg and a lifelong area resident, died Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. He was 38.

The son of the late Paul “Duke” and Joan Ann Decker Doolittle, Sr., he was born September 19, 1966 in Middletown, NY.

Doolittle worked as a paver with Cooper Paving.

He is survived by his son, Justin Matthew Doolittle of Sparrowbush; and his brothers and sisters, Bonnie Zoll and her husband Russell of Bloomingburg, Tim and his wife Cindy of Cuddebackville, Tammy Mapes and her husband Robert of Middletown, Paul and his wife Connie and Andrew and his wife Rebecca, all of Bullville, Andra Mann and her husband Lucas and Donald and his wife Megan, all of Bloomingburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services were held on September 21, 2005 at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouch-Ingrassia Funeral Home in Middletown.

Interment is at the Wallkill Cemetery in Phillipsburg, NY.


RUSSELL CHARLES KAISER

LAKE ARIEL, PA – Russell Charles Kaiser, a resident of Lake Ariel, died Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was 78.

The son of the late Roger and Margaret (Muller) Kaiser, he was born in Hackensack, NJ.

He worked as an electrical engineer at Public Service Electric and Gas prior to his retirement. He was a World War II and Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion, Post No. 69 in Carlstadt, NJ.

He is survived by his wife, the former Lillian Whitlow; two daughters, Phyllis Hulme of Rehobath, MA and Judith Grewe of Lake Ariel; a son, Russell Kaiser Jr. of Sacramento, CA; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday, September 26 at the Lakeville United Methodist Church in Lakeville with the Reverend Teressa Sivers, pastor, officiating.

Interment is in the Lakeville Cemetery.


CAROLYN H. PINTLER

MONTGOMERY, NY – Carolyn H. Pintler, a resident of Montgomery, a former resident of Callicoon and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, September 18, 2005 at the Montgomery Nursing Home. She was 90.

The daughter of the late Walter Francis and Carolina Susanne Metzger Long, she was born July 12, 1915 in the Beechwoods section of Callicoon.

A homemaker, she was the widow of George Pintler. She was a charter member of the Hortonville HB’s Extension group.

Pintler is suvived by one son, Robert and his wife Wendy of Narrowsburg; three grandchildren, Jennifer Norris of Monticello, Christina Terry and Robert Terry of Narrowsburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Services were held on September 21 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Callicoon with the reverend Jim Corbin officiating.

Interment is in the Hortonville Cemetery.

GEORGE ZAKOTIRIA

MIDDLETOWN, NY – George Zakotiria, a former resident of Middletown, entered into rest on Monday, September 19, 2005, after a long battle with cancer. He was 34.

The son of Sylvia Amir and the late Victor Zakotiria, he was born September 12, 1971 in Brooklyn, NY.

Zatoria was an avid collector of vintage sci-fi memorabilia and comic books and a dedicated Yankees fan.

He is survived by his mother, Sylvia Amir of Hawley, PA; two sisters, Christina Veronica of Hawley and Laura Smith of Wawarsing, NY; a maternal grandmother, Margrete Loboda of Kerhonkson; an aunt, Stella Rudzinski of Middletown; an uncle, Rudolph Rebrick of Arizona; two nieces, Jennifer and Brandy Babcock, both of Wawarsing; cousins Dorris Rudzinski, Natalja Rudzinski and Alexander Rudzinski; other cousins, aunts and uncles in New York State; and two dear friends, Richie Marizzo and Pete Flemming.

He was predeceased by his brother and best friend, Victor Zakotiria, Jr.

The family wishes to thank everyone who helped them during this difficult time, especially the nurses at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
