Library holds 9/11 commemoration

HAWLEY, PA—To commemorate the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the Wayne County Public Library will participate in The September Project, a grass-roots effort to encourage public events in libraries around the world on freedom, democracy and citizenship. The library will present “Understanding the Roots of the Islamic World” on Sunday, September 11 at 2:00 p.m. Douglas Rosentrater, professor of communications at Bucks County Community College, will explore the origins of Islam and how they shape Muslim thought and action today.
