Dorflinger Day returns

WHITE MILLS, PA — On Saturday, September 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for the first time in 20 years, the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary will hold an outdoor family day. The event will feature a few carefully selected craft vendors and food vendors, clowns, kids games and activities, demonstrations of old-world crafts such as wool spinning by Riverrim Spinnery, Ukrainian egg painting by Carol Rick and bobbin-lace making by The Lost Art Lacers. For entertainment there will be strolling musicians and the Barbershop Singers.

An art exhibit by the “Come Paint With Me Artists,” under the guidance of artist Joan Polishook, will be held in the Blough Building at the Sanctuary as part of the festivities. Artists will display works they created on the Sanctuary grounds during the summer. Several artists will set up their easels to paint during the course of the day.
