All around the house with NaCl
HIGHLAND LAKE, NY NaCl is constantly pushing the horizons of conventional theatre, and this week is no exception. On Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27 at 8:00 p.m. they will stage The Mystery of Lakewood House, which will take the audience on a theatrical adventure as they follow a map around a house from scene to scene, with all scenes being shown simultaneously. The experience of each audience member will vary with the order in which they choose to move around the house, putting the pieces of the mystery together in their own way.
The story is a fiction with some local lore and history mixed in, telling of a deadly incident that permanently affects the guests and owners of Lakewood House. There will be romance, intrigue, ghosts, time warps, clairvoyance, Hungarian waltzes and a prophetic beekeeper. Live music will be provided by local WJFF personality Kurt Knut and his band, It Couldnt Hoit. Tickets will cost $8 to $20 on a sliding scale; pay what you can.
