Anglers’ paradise at the Fly Fishing Museum

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum (CFFCM) will hold its annual Summerfest and Anglers’ Market on September 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m on the grounds of the museum.

The family-oriented, one-day event will feature activities, craftspeople and fly fishing vendors from throughout the Northeast region. Vintage and new fishing tackle, collectible books, rustic decorative items and more will be available for sale. A variety of activities will be offered throughout the day, including fly-tying demonstrations in the museum, the fourth annual Great Catskill Fish Race on Willowemoc Creek, casting demonstrations on the grounds, antique tackle appraisals and children’s activities.

A special feature of this year’s event will be the first annual club competition on CFFCM’s Castabout course, a challenging ten-station experience designed to test accuracy and distance where fly fisherman of all levels can hone their casting skills.

Admission costs $2.00 per car with all proceeds going to support CFFCM and its many programs.
