Chad Powell softball tourney this weekend

By RICHARD A. ROSS

COCHECTON CENTER, NY — Day by day Chad Powell is recovering.

After suffering serious injuries as a result of a motorcycle accident on July 22, Powell is now in rehab. Thanks to the unflagging prayers, support and love that has poured in from family, friends and well wishers, along with the fine medical care he has received, his mom, Nancy, reports that each day Chad is making noticeable progress.

A benefit softball tournament for Powell, sponsored by Heinle’s General Store and American Electric LLC, will be held this weekend on August 27 and 28. Games will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will be played throughout both days at Heinle’s field. A championship game, with trophies distributed to the winners, will take place on Sunday afternoon.

Bring your family and friends to root for your favorite team and to support Chad’s recovery. Come join in the fun and lend your support for a worthy cause.

For additional information call Amanda or Brian at 845/932-8112.

See next week’s River Reporter for complete coverage of the tournament, replete with story and pictures.
