Victorian splendor at Lacawac Sanctuary

LAKE WALLENPAUPACK, PA — Lacawac Sanctuary will host a Victorian garden party, plant sale, and croquet challenge on Sunday, August 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. At the party, a major fundraising event for the sanctuary, guests will enjoy a unique day amidst an atmosphere of 19th century Victoriana. The event schedule includes a Croquet Challenge at 10:00 a.m., a tour of Lacawac Sanctuary and quilting demonstration at 11:00; a luncheon with finger food of many flavors, served buffet style at 12:30; and a concert of performers from throughout the tri-state region presenting vocal and instrumental entertainment from 2:00 to 4:30.

During the day, a variety of plants and Victorian-style crafts will be available for sale. A prize will be given to the most exceptional Victorian wear.

Advance tickets cost $25 for adults 16 and over, and $10 for children 5 to 15. Advance sales end Monday, August 19. Tickets at the door cost $30 and $15. Children under 5 are free.
