The bells are ringing

MONTICELLO, NY—The Bells of Joy Handbell Choir will present a concert at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, in the sanctuary of the Monticello Presbyterian Church on Broadway next to the courthouse. This group of ringers from various areas of Sullivan County and is under the direction of Lucille Horton of Forestburgh. The concert will also feature flute player Susan Melia from Hatboro, PA and Randall House from Cuddebackville performing some saxaphone jazz selections. Following the concert there will be a reception with refreshments downstairs in Pelton Hall, courtesy of the Ladies’ Aid Society. Adult admission is a $10 donation with children admitted free. All proceeds will go toward refurbishing the handbells, which have been in use for nearly ten years.
