A jewel of a day at the Jeffersonville Jamboree

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — With a backdrop of gorgeous blue skies, the Village of Jeffersonville put out the Ritz at the annual the Jeff Jamboree. The Main Street Parade got underway at 12:00 noon led by Grand Marshall Don ‘Pop’ Hauschild and family. The parade featured an array of Jeffersonville Volunteer Fire Department trucks, vehicles from the Jeffersonville Volunteer Ambulance Corps, The Mountain Tones Marching Band, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, The Red Hat Society from The Royal Order of Laughing Ladies Society, lovely ladies on horseback, antique cars, dignitaries and great puppets on loan from Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn, NY.

Food, including Polynesian treats from the Hawaian Luau at the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church, specialties from Jeffersonville’s great restaurants, delectables from The Pantry at Little Duck House and ice cream from Kelly’s Kones tempted taste buds and were a fitting tribute to summer abundance in this happening hamlet.

Enchanted children watched puppet shows, enticed shoppers browsed the Main Street shops and the booths in the West Village, and others followed Mayor Ed Justus on a Town Haul Walking Tour.

Live music by ‘Inner Urge’ and ‘D Train’ punctuated the afternoon as the jewel known as Jeffersonville was jammed with jubilation.
