Chad Powell benefit tourney scheduled

COCHECTON CENTER, NY — From August 27 to 28, American Electric and Heinle’s General Store will sponsor a men’s softball tournament at Heinle’s Field in Cochecton Center to benefit the recovery of Chad Powell.

Powell is a 22-year-old fellow softball player and Cochecton resident who was injured in a motorcycle accident on July 22.

Softball games will be played throughout both days beginning at 8:00 a.m. A championship game with trophies distributed to the winners will take place on Sunday afternoon.

Bring your family and friends to root for your favorite team and to support Chad’s recovery. Hamburgers, hot dogs, soda and beer will be available for purchase and there will also be a 50/50 and raffles. Come join the fun and support a worthy cause.
