The first two-thirds of Steven Spielbergs War of the Worlds are a truly spectacular experience, so full of unmitigated horror and uncertainty that I was sure that it would hit every top-ten list by the end of the year, and stand alongside the directors towering classics of decades past.

NaCl setting up for longest season yet
HIGHLAND LAKE, NYThe North American Cultural Laboratorys (NaCl) eclectic international festival of original theater, The Catskill Festival of New Theatre, will span over seven weeks this summer. Produced by NaCl founders Brad Krumholz and Tannis Kowalchuk, the festival, featuring daring artists from the United States, Canada and Europe, will begin its sixth season on Friday, July 16.
