Become a Master Gardener
MILFORD, PA Pike County Master Gardeners will hold an informational session on Saturday, July 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Remembrance Place, the garden area at the corner of West Ann Street and Elderberry Alley. The purpose of the session is to provide information on how to become a Master Gardener Volunteer.
Master Gardener Volunteers are a group of people who have been trained through the Penn State program to share their horticultural knowledge with the public by answering gardening questions, presenting programs, creating and maintaining demonstration gardens, writing articles for publication, and partnering with other community groups to promote learning about horticulture.
A new class for training Master Gardeners will be held September 10 through November 12. Applications are available at the Penn State Cooperative Extension Office located at 514 Broad Street in Milford.
