Good Vibes jazzes up Central Park

HONESDALE, PA — Good Vibes, a newly formed jazz ensemble, will perform on Monday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Central Park, as part of the Wayne County Creative Arts Council’s Summer Festival of Events.

The group, whose members all hail from the Upper Delaware/northeastern Pennsylvania region, performs traditional, mainstream and Afro-Cuban jazz. Half of the program will be devoted to jazz artist Horace Silver, one of the lesser-known greats whom the band hopes to introduce to local audiences. Music by Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie will also be performed.

Audience members are advised to bring a chair or blanket to the park. In case of rain, the concert will be held in the Lakeside Elementary School cafeteria. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.
