Peony garden walking tour
HONESDALE, PA Take a walking tour of Persephone Gardens peonies this June. Spread over 12-acres with over 60-varieties, peonies are perennials characterized by their oversized blooms, subtle fragrances and striking colors. They are the ideal plant for gardens in Northeast Pennsylvania and Sullivan County, NY, are relatively easy to grow and can live for decades with minimal care.
Visitors will learn the secrets of successful peony cultivation and receive a peony bouquet and refreshments. Tour dates are June 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. Admission is $15 per single person, $25 per couple and children under 16 are free. There is a 10% discount for anyone who is a member of a public radio or television station and has a membership card.
