Let’s go fly a kite

LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY – The sky’s the limit at Sullivan County Community College’s 14th annual kite festival on Saturday, May 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the college.

The Festival features kite-flying demonstrations by the New York Stunt Kite Enthusiasts, as well as a kite-building contest, craft and food vendors, an art show, pony rides, an alternative energy fair and more. Music will be provided by the Vantwistics.

Bring your own kite and join in the flying fun or come and enjoy all the activities. Free kites will be given to the first 200 children who attend. Admission is free.

The kite festival is sponsored by Sullivan County Community College, The Sullivan County Visitors Association and Hudson United Bank. Rain date is Sunday, May 8.
